Hoya Editorial Advisory

Senior Editorial Expertise for Established Georgetown Hoyapreneurs

Dahna Chandler, MPS, SCS'19 | Principal Editorial Advisor | Award-Winning Finance Journalist

Your Expertise Is Established.  Your Editorial Assets Should Reflect That.

You've spent years building expertise, a business, or a professional reputation. When you put that expertise into the market, the editorial assets carrying it should demonstrate the same level of judgment.

Hoya Editorial Advisory provides senior editorial and thought-leadership expertise to established Georgetown alumni entrepreneurs and independent professionals who need a discrete piece of consequential editorial work done well.

You may need an important article strengthened before publication, an experienced assessment of a piece that isn't working, a thought-leadership strategy built around expertise you already possess, or an experienced journalist to develop an article when writing it yourself isn't the best use of your time.

You don't necessarily need an agency or an ongoing communications engagement.

You need the right expertise applied to the work in front of you.

This practice isn't designed for startups seeking launch communications, founders still developing their positioning, or new businesses building their editorial presence from the ground up. I work with established professionals who already have the expertise, business foundation, and market experience their editorial work needs to represent.

Senior Practitioner Judgment. Defined Engagement.

I offer a limited number of tightly scoped editorial advisory micro-engagements each month to Georgetown alumni who have been in business or independent practice for at least five years, are actively growing their businesses or practices, and have successfully worked with senior outside consultants and advisors.

This isn't high-volume content production. I bring more than 20 years of experience across business journalism, financial services, institutional communications, research-backed editorial development, and executive thought leadership to a specific editorial problem we can solve within a bounded scope.

Editorial advisory micro-engagements start at $950 and increase from there based on the defined scope. Visit Editorial Advisory Micro-Engagements to learn about Hoya Editorial Advisory's solutions.

Senior-Level Experience Behind the Advisory

My editorial career spans more than 20 years across business and finance journalism, editorial strategy for private wealth management and financial services, institutional narrative strategy, research-backed editorial development, and executive thought leadership.

My professional experience includes editorial work for or with organizations and brands including Synovus Private Wealth, RBC Wealth Management, Northern Trust, Raymond James, Allianz Global Investors, Fifth Third Bank Wealth and Asset Management, and American Express Business Intel. My published journalism has appeared in Family Business Magazine, Forbes, TODAY Money, Black Enterprise, and other nationally recognized business and financial publications and platforms.

Hoya Editorial Advisory makes a deliberately limited portion of that senior expertise available to established Georgetown entrepreneurs and independent professionals through clearly defined engagements.
